campbellThe construction of the future home of the Florence Campbell Elementary will begin on Thursday, April 19, 2018 with the ceremonial groundbreaking scheduled at 1 p.m. at the League City school site. The school will be the Clear Creek Independent School District’s 27th elementary school. It is named after the mother of developer, Travis Campbell who generously donated the land to the district.

Some of the features of this 1,000-student capacity elementary school include a dedicated building for the Galveston-Brazoria Cooperative for the Hearing Impaired, designated collaborative and creative spaces for each grade level, and an expanded stacking lane for vehicles in an effort to move cars off the main thoroughfares.

The $43.0 million school was approved by voters as part of the 2017 CCISD Bond program. The project, led by VLK architects, is expected to be open for learning in August 2019.

The groundbreaking will be held at 1 p.m. on April 19, 2018 at 6605 West League City Parkway.
