Whitcomb Families:

We appreciate your support as we make all efforts to keep our students safe. Please see the following update for information on how you can support your child the week of March 16-20. Thank you!

Fitness can be fun!

Exercising daily is so very important to keep physically and mentally healthy!  Our goal is to get 60 minutes of exercise every day, with 20-30 minutes of those minutes being moderate to vigorous (with an elevated heart rate).  Below you will find a collection of ideas and resources that you and your family should be able to use no matter your location or the weather.

We hope all of our Whitcomb families are healthy. If you traveled over Spring Break either nationally or internationally, please complete this CCISD travel form.

As you’ve heard, CCISD will be closed through Friday, April 10, 2020, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In the meantime, the teachers and staff wanted to provide information about opportunities available to encourage your child’s learning at home. The
Whitcomb PTA Facebook page has also posted many websites in addition to those posted below.

- Each Whitcomb student should read for 30-45 minutes per day. PK-2nd grade students can benefit from being read to by a parent or older sibling for part of that time.
- If able, log onto
DreamBox or Education Galaxy Math (grades 3-5) for 20-30 minutes per day.
- Additional online resources are available by
following this link.
- If you need help locating your child’s user name or password for any of the online resources, you can email your child’s teacher using Skyward Family Access.
